How can I get involved?

To Get Involved you can become a member of our Service Improvement or Tenant Scrutiny Group.

By becoming regular volunteers and working with our staff, managers and directors to understand how RHA is run and how our services work.

Area panels or tenant and resident group

Attend tenant meetings in your area.

When / Where
Meeting will take place in your community, up to four times a year.

Why
You can share your views on how we are doing and give us feedback on how we can improve. Comments will be shared with our Service Improvement or Scrutiny Group who will look at how we can improve our services in response to your suggestions.

Who
All tenants living locally to groups that are running.

How

Service improvement group

You can join the Service Improvement Group, agree the subject of the surveys, look at the results and make suggestions about what changes we could make.

When / Where
Meetings take place every two months at our office; you can attend every meeting or just those that interest you.

Why
This group is a good way to keep up to date with information about RHA and what we are doing. You can also feedback about what you’d like to see us doing.

Who
All tenants are able to attend meetings.

Scrutiny group

You can join our Scrutiny Group who meet to look at our policies and ways of working, this group also considers suggestions made by the Service Improvement Group.

When / Where
Weekly meetings take place at our offices. You may also be invited to attend local/national meetings further afield, around housing related subjects.

Why
Being part of this group will give you a chance to gain knowledge of RHA and housing in general, receive training and build new skills, as well as influence the services we provide.  This group shares information and feedback with RHA’s Board of Management.

Who
All tenants with an interest in housing issues, or who are keen to help us deliver our services to the best standards we can.

Board membership

You can apply to become a Board Member. Each Board Member brings different skills to the Board such as accountancy skills or housing knowledge.

When / Where
Board meetings are held monthly at our office or other venues. Members of the Board read reports for discussion and decision, as well as attending training days.

Why
Being a member of the Board is an opportunity to learn what it takes to run the Organisation, as well as receiving training, attending conferences, and improving your strategic and team working skills.

Who
Tenants with an interest in the operational side of the Organisation, who are able to commit to attending frequent meetings.

How
Look out for vacancies on our website and social media, which call  for different skills depending on the skills set of other Board members. Your application will be subject to a selection process, similar to a job application.
